MAZA – BODY IN WATERS BY ROSELI PARAGUASSU
24 November @ 18:30 - 21:30
MAZA – BODY IN WATERS BY ROSELI PARAGUASSU – Art Kaizen
An invitation to get involved and connect with this primordial element that is Water, through a favourable atmosphere that summons the senses through the sound, visual and bodily stimuli offered during the immersion. An opportunity to broaden the repertoire of knowledge in the field of bodily expressiveness beyond the physical dimension. It is with the body that we express ourselves to the world, we express feelings, thoughts and attitudes. This proposal opens up a range of gestural possibilities, expanding the spontaneity and creativity of each participant in their ways of communicating in life.
Roseli Paraguassu, is an art educator, dance therapist, dance artist and Candomblecist. She has a Master’s degree in Fashion Design from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon, and a Licentiate and Bachelor’s degree in Dance from the School of Dance of the Federal University of Bahia. As a therapist, she is currently deepening her knowledge at the Brazilian Institute for Therapist Training – IBFT. She began her artistic career in 2000 and has been developing this work of self-knowledge with women through dance for 21 years.
In the area of Fashion Design, she works in the fashion/communication and fashion/art segments, focusing on costume design, which allows her to combine her experience as a dance artist with her skills as a designer. She is the author of the project “Pele que Veste . Body and Ancestry in Costume”, a scenic and performative construction based on her artistic, religious and academic experience, in which she investigates the interfusion between Ancestry/Identity with the “Body in Dance” and Costume.
